We are looking forward to a fun week for adults and juniors. The exact activities will be planned each day looking at the weather and who turns up (for instance, short friendly races, a social sail + ice cream picnic, just "messing about").

SWSC members should all have received several emails about the new booking procedures for accessing Fell Foot's Active Base. The instructions can also be found in the members portal under "Club operations under Covid-19". In light of measures to protect people's health put in place by the National Trust at Fell Foot, and in line with guidance from the RYA and the government, we unfortunately must cancel all club activity until further notice. Sixty-five trophies were awarded to South Windermere Sailing Club members at our annual celebration dinner and prizegiving, held on 26 October at the Newby Bridge Hotel. The Frostbite Series is a highlight of the year. It is an open series, running over nine Sundays starting on 20 th October and ending on 15 th December (followed by mulled wine and mince pies to thaw out). Commodore's Day is Saturday, August 3, and a great day is planned for SWSC members of all ages.
