Winter Walk
A walk encompassing three rivers and two viaducts. The walk runs along the rivers Rawthey, Dee and Lune and encompasses part of the Dales Way for its first 4 mile section along fields, farms (be prepared for mud), narrow paths along the rivers, and a stretch of tarmac, with short ascents and descents. After lunch, the second 3 mile section will head up towards Winder (not to the top - about 250mtrs), with a number of stiles, for a beautiful view of the valley (weather permitting). Lunch will be near Lincoln Bridge, where some cars could be parked if shorter walk is desired.
Total walk distance: 7 miles. Dogs must be kept on leads as pregnant ewes and lambs may be in the fields.
