The Frostbite is back!
Published 15:44 on 11 Sep 2019
The Frostbite Series is a highlight of the year. It is an open series, running over nine Sundays starting on 20th October and ending on 15th December (followed by mulled wine and mince pies to thaw out).
There will be two races back to back, starting at 12:00 pm. You don't have to race both to be in contention for trophies. In addition to a full series trophy there will be two separate trophies: for the series of first races and the series of second races
As this is outside the regular SWSC season, an inclusive entry (including active base access) and boat space fee for both club members and visitors will be set as follows:
Flying Fifteens: £65
Double handers (smaller than FF) : £50
Single hander: £40
Note that members doing a duty during Frostbite will get average points allocated for that race.
As the National Trust will also, over those weeks, be pulling cruisers out of the water for winter storage, we will have a reserved section of the boat park for Frostbite participants.
This means that there are limits to the number of boats that can take part! If you plan to participate, please register in advance by filling in the form at https://www.swsailing.co.uk/sailing-1/open-events-1 and email it to Mike Deane: firstname.lastname@example.org
