We are looking forward to a fun week for adults and juniors. The usual activities will be modified given the continuing Covid guidelines.

The outline for the week is below. Please book in advance in the members web portal if you are planning to come.

Activities

We are planning morning and afternoon activities for adults and juniors starting Monday, August 3. The exact activities will be planned each day looking at the weather and who turns up (for instance, short friendly races, a social sail + ice cream picnic, just "messing about"). Edward Russell will also be showing us some of the training techniques they use in Australia which sounds really good fun.

In the morning, everyone should be ready for a briefing on the day's activities by 10:30 am, and to launch no later than 11am.

Because distancing guidelines remain in place, people should expect to only share boats with those in their household or "bubble". Club boats will need to be cleaned after use. Please bring your own cleaning supplies.

We will be sharing duties among us for the week (safety boat and committee boat). Volunteers will be necessary for all activities to take place.

Again, while there will be a safety boat for all on the water activities, you must feel comfortable with your ability to handle the weather conditions.

More information on available facilities and arrangements for food was sent to members by email on Monday evening. If you have any questions, please contact membership@swsailing.co.uk
