Come to our Open Day - February 19

SWSC is holding an open day on Saturday, Feb 19th , 10am 2pm for interested people and prospective members to visit our new fantastic location and talk to club members. Light lunches, tea, coffee and cakes available at the Old School Kitchen café on site.
The club has moved to YMCA North Camp on the west shore of Windermere. The family-friendly club has activities for all types of sailing, from social sailing and "messing about in boats" to competitive racing in a variety of formats.
In partnership with YMCA Lakeside, we will be organising RYA accredited sailing and powerboat courses. YMCA Lakeside also offers camping and AirBnB accommodation.
Visitors will see a work in progress! Enthusiastic club members are busy getting ready for the new season, which starts at the end of March.
How to get to the club:
The southern Lake District is conveniently linked to the M6 motorway. To find the club, leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590 which is sign-posted Barrow-in- Furness.
Approximately 18 miles after leaving the motorway you will reach the Newby Bridge roundabout. Continue through the roundabout on the A590 and turn first right over a bridge and past the Swan Hotel. YMCA Lakeside is sign-posted three and a half miles along this road on the right. The club is based at North Camp which is the second turning after South Camp. The dinghy park and clubhouse are on the left as you drive in and park.
