While we wait for the start of the club sailing season on 21st March, the club's programme of winter walks is in full swing.

At the end of January, nine people accompanied by their five dogs enjoyed a walk in the Uldale Fells from Rawthey Bridge; last weekend the hikers tackled the Hutton Roof Craggs area, over farmland, limestone pavement and through woodland.

On 22nd February, we will enjoy a seven mile walk including the West Windermere Way and High Dam. We are promised a steep climb at the start (walked very slowly) followed by gentle undulations. Meet at 1030 at the sailing club. We will have refreshments after the walk at the Newby Bridge Hotel. Please let John Waldron know if you are coming. His details are in the member handbook.

There will be a final walk on 8th March, with details to follow.
