SWSC Members gathered at the Old School Kitchen at YMCA North Camp on Saturday, October 22, to enjoy a wonderful meal and recognise race winners, determined sailors, and members who have demonstrated particular commitment to the club over the year.

A total of 48 trophies were awarded, with 16 going to Mark Fearnley, and five each to Mike Deane and Jack Thompson - although one of Jack's trophies was "the Golden Boot" due to an incident involving a halyard and the tiller of his recently purchased Post Boat. Other race winners include Joel Oreton with four, Bob Eastwood, Joe Marsland and Wyn Roberts with three, and Chris Jukes, David Woolgrove, Julie Tomkinson, Tess Shipton and Austin Oldham each winning one.

Tim Clarke was awarded the Haig Trophy for commitment to the club, for all his efforts to find, purchase and continue to maintain the committee boat and launching tractor for the club. Alison and Mike Bartlett received the Commodore's Choice award for their work in managing the clubhouse repair and refurbishment. Rosie Keen won the Junior Navigator Award and Sarah Lowe the Determination Award.

The Annual Dinner and Prizegiving was particularly special as the first at the club's new location at YMCA North Camp. In her speech at the event, Commodore Sara Speicher affirmed, "We have a friendly and committed community, in a great location, with like-minded partners, and we have a great future ahead."
